1. How do I submit an idea or a manuscript?
Presently we are not considering Christian fiction, autobiographies, poetry, or children's picture books. Please be aware that Concordia Publishing House (CPH) is the publishing arm of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. If you have a concept or idea for publishing that you think we might find interesting, please feel free to submit your idea to: ideas@cph.org
If you believe you have a resource aimed at supporting the scholarly or professional church worker needs of the Lutheran church body, please click here to learn more about our two ways of publishing these types of resources.
How do I submit a song or music I’ve composed?
1) Send you manuscript with a cover letter stating what you feel is pertinent about the manuscript to Peter Reske or Pam Cunningham, Attention: Music Department, Concordia Publishing House, 3558 South Jefferson Ave., St. Louis, MO 63118.
2) A cassette tape or CD is desirable but not required.

4) Acknowledgement of receipt will be confirmed by postcard, letter or e-mail. We hope to reach a decision within six months upon receipt of the manuscript and will notify you.
5) Include return postage if you would like the manuscript returned if it cannot be published.

All clergy and professional church workers (full time paid employees of the church) including Lutheran school teachers, directors of Christian education, directors of outreach, deaconesses, and others—are entitled to a 20% discount on select CPH products purchased from CPH and its bookstores. Use your discount to save on CPH books, Bibles, and professional titles you purchase for your own use. It's an extra advantage for the dedicated workers who serve God's people. We want to give you this discount whether you order by phone, the CPH Web site, or visit one of CPH's bookstores. From time to time, CPH offers discounts greater than your everyday 20% discount. You are always entitled to your 20% discount or the special offer, whichever is greater, however, offers cannot be combined. When ordering on your personal CPH account number, the discounts will be automatically applied and reflected when you check out. If you see discounts aren't applied when placing your order on the web site, please call us at 1-800-325-3040.
4. Can I place an order for my church over the web?
Yes, you are able to order online and bill your church account. Your email address is your username and the password is whatever you have set up. If you have difficulty placing an order on line without being prompted for a credit card it may be that an email address has not been linked to your CPH account number. Please call our toll free number, 1-800-325-3040 for assistance or send an email to cphorder@cph.org. 14. I'd like to give my two cents about new resources for CPH. How do I do that?
Concordia Publishing House is the publishing arm of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, and as such our primary market comprises the congregations, church workers and members of The LCMS, then other Lutherans, then other Christians. We are a uniquely and distinctly Lutheran publishing house whose materials conform to the Holy Scriptures, the Lutheran Confessions and the doctrinal positions of our church body. If you believe your product has possibilities for our market, please email newproducts@cph.org and describe your idea.
